NELSON ARTIST

I have the delight of being a full time artist and I work most days in my studio in Richmond, Nelson, New Zealand. Painting from imagination and observation.

To paint for me is to play, I work in acrylics because I love the intensity of their colour. I hope you enjoy my varied subject choices.

I love to imagine the places I wish to travel to. I enjoy painting musicians, I love faces and the stories they tell. Art to me is about emotion, creating a feeling, not a record.

I believe in the human need to dream and this is reflected in my art.

The message of my art is to remind people to look outside of their worries and realise
the beauty that surrounds us.
